This is why I'm an educator, because I want the next generation to be in even better shape than we were when my wife and I (and our generation) started to run the world. These are our 5 kids, and I love them an amazing amount. Two of them have already gone into some level of the education field :).
So why should we be using technology in the classroom?
Because that's the world that we are preparing them for:
- They need to experience what awaits them outside in the rest of the world after they graduate.
- They need to know how to be cautious with people on the internet just like how they think "stranger danger" in the physical world.
- They need to know how to find things they want to find, to make themselves more powerful because of their skills on computers/internet.
- And tons more reasons.... but that's enough for now!
